You'll gain both general and specific information on disabilities and abilities, with a particular focus on understanding mobility issues, neuro-diversity and mental health issues. The training program will embed employees into the training by carrying out perceptual awareness exercises, we'll actively challenge common myths and misconceptions, encouraging you to rethink the language and behaviour used in relation to people with disabilities.
We'll also equip you with essential knowledge on supporting disability in the workplace, providing practical insights and strategies. You'll gain a deeper understanding of some of the most common reactions people can have to individuals with disabilities, helping you navigate interactions with empathy and respect.
A key part of our focus is to identify common barriers that people with disabilities face and explore effective ways to remove these barriers in the workplace. We'll also address the challenges of communicating with some individuals with disabilities and provide practical solutions for overcoming these challenges in a professional setting.
